Music Submission

I would love to hear your music, but please keep a few things in mind. Running this website is an one man operation. I do everything by myself, there are no contributors. So, with the high volume of submissions coming in on a daily basis, chances are I won’t reply right away (or at all).

I do always listen to each and every submission I receive, whether it’s by email, through Submithub or snail-mail. But please do not get offended if I don’t get back to you. I would love to, but I simply don’t have the time to do so. Thanks for understanding, as I don’t mean any disrespect.

Genres
I’m looking for anything groovelicious, like funk, soul, disco, nu-disco, soulful house, beats & breaks, hip-hop or R&B. And if I dig your submission 100%, I’ll feature it! But I rarely accept requests to do song/video premieres.

Preferences
I prefer to accept streaming links from Soundcloud, Bandcamp or Youtube, or download links through Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer. Other servies might work too, but please know I will never buy your music for review! (yes this still happens, a lot!)

I don’t mind supporting independent artists by buying their music, and I regularly do, but if I had to buy every track for review, I wouldn’t have any beer money left. And I do like my beer!

No Guarantees
Following me on social feeds like Instagram, Facebook, Youtube or Twitter, or sending your music/merch to my home address, DOES NOT guarantee your music will be featured. And I hold the right to turn down a feature for whatever reason, even tho I’ve accepted your music before.

Privacy
I won’t collect and/or share your personal information with third parties, with the exception of embedded content from other websites (like Soundcloud/Youtube/Bandcamp/etc). These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Appreciation
I’m getting asked what I would like to have in return, like a lot! First of all, I don’t expect anything in return, as I’m promoting your music, for my love of music. Nothing more, nothing less!

With that being said, I do appreciate if you would share my feature with your fans and follow me on my socials. These are the little things that means the world to me, and would help a lot as well. And I would also appreciate getting your featured single/EP/album in WAV for my home studio database, or on (signed & smooched) CD/Vinyl/Cassette, as I’m old school like that.

But in the end, I don’t expect anything in return at all. It’s not mandatory, you don’t have to, and it won’t affect me featuring you in any way. That choice is absolutely yours!
